The Guide on the Journey

Celebrating year #1 of blogging!

I’ve got my first year of blogging under my belt! Woo hoo! It’s been fun and fulfilling. I really enjoy writing. But there is more to my writing than just words on a screen or paper. I believe that God has a purpose for all of this and I am just doing what I feel He is calling me to do. He is my Guide on the journey.

This next year will be a year of not only writing content for the blog, but creating worksheets for each of the character traits. I have a few already started. My hope is to write a whole book of character traits. I am also creating line of calendars, planners, journals and a workbook to help people carry out personal development for incorporating new habits in their lives.

As I start to create products and resources, I still want to stay focused on my main objective. That is to be a mentor and coach for others to live lives to the fullest. In a way, I also want to be a guide on the journey. I’m hoping that others will be able to use my writing to influence the lives of their children and grandchildren, because honestly, the world needs influencers right now. We need to be passing character and virtue on to the next generations.

One of my favorite Bible verses is from the book of Proverbs: Train up a child in the way that he should go and when he is old, he will not depart from it. (22:6). Teach your children about character. Pass on your wisdom to your grandchildren. Read the book of Proverbs. It is rich with so many wise sayings from kings. It may be vintage information, but it can still be relevant if you apply it to your life.

Have we taught our families about character & virtues like honesty, respect, responsibility and caring? Do we practice these things ourselves? Do you know who God is? Do you worship Him? Do you pray?

It’s not too late to start. There’s no time like the present. 21 days is all it takes to practice a new habit. 21 days to change your life for the better! Let’s get started! We can make a difference if we just begin. Set some goals. Create new habits. Teach your children and grandchildren to do the same. You are the best example to those in your family.

If you haven’t signed up to receive my weekly blog in your inbox, I hope you will right now. There should be a sign up box at the end of the blog or to the right, depending what device you’re using.

I would love to hear from you. You can message me on my Facebook page, Character & Virtue, LLC or send me an email at bpequignot@live.com if you need some encouragement.

I’ll keep you posted about how the products are coming along. This is new and exciting for me. I’ve been learning that in order to grow, you’ve got to step outside your comfort zone.

God bless.—Barb
