I just love the colors of fall, don’t you? Even the smells in the air are different. I love to sit on the back porch and watch the leaves fall from the tree to the ground. It is just beautiful. Change is in the air.
It won’t be long and this tree will be bare, ready for the harsh cold and snow that is to follow. But it is prepared. Nature has provided for it’s every need throughout the spring and summer and it’s working the changes from the inside out.
Change Is Good
Nothing in this life stays the same. Nothing. Everything changes. We can’t be afraid of change because God knows what we need and He provides those needs through changes, even when we don’t know that we need them. Change is good. It’s where we grow and where we learn the valuable lessons of life. Change can also be hard. It’s the challenges of change that make us stronger.
As we get older, we tend to want to be set in our ways. We get comfortable and a little stubborn and think that we can’t do it or it is too hard or too much work. But this world is changing at such a fast pace, we must keep up or we’ll feel we’ve been left behind. We can’t be left behind because we have so much to offer, so much to teach others about the changes we’ve already been through.
Action Steps
Don’t think that change is too hard for you. You can do anything you set your mind to. Be determined to not let it stop you from learning something new.
This week challenge yourself to learn a new skill. Schedule it on your calendar. Just pick one thing. What is one thing that you’ve always wanted to do? Find someone who is good at it and ask them to teach you. This is also a good way to make a new friend and build a relationship. We should always be willing to make new friends.
Then, take something you know how to do and share it with someone else. Teach others what you know so that they can then be changed. Teach your children or grandchildren a lost art like sewing or baking pies. Homemade anything is always better than store-bought!
Learning a new skill or hobby can help people learn to relax. Let’s help others learn to get off their phones and live life to the fullest!! There’s a whole world out there that could change someone’s life, yours included. Don’t be afraid of change.
Change is in the air. I appreciate you. Thanks for following along. God bless.–Barb
