Facing Our Fears

What are you afraid of? What keeps you up at night? We all have something, don’t we? Some of us could be afraid of getting sick or losing a loved one. What is it for you? Maybe it’s our mortality. We can’t not think about it. We can’t look the other way. It’s time we started facing our fears.

Halloween is over. Yesterday is gone. It’s time to look forward. You may have something looming over you like a bad dream. Don’t let it eat up your joy.

Everyday you wake up is another day with a chance to live life to the fullest. Make the most of it, even if you don’t FEEL like it. Feelings are fleeting. They come and go. But you are still here. Your body and mind are still here and until they aren’t, you’ve got to make the most of each day.

As long as there is breath in you, you have something to contribute. And that something is love. Figure out how to love God with all your heart, mind and soul and then love others the same.

We are here to figure it all out on our way to heaven. Don’t let fear keep you from doing anything. Everyone has a purpose given to them by God. Live it out!

Fear is false evidence appearing real. Fear is a liar.

What are you afraid of? What is holding you back from living your best life? We all have struggles and limitations. But sometimes, those are God’s gift to us and to others, for others. Our struggles are opportunities for others to receive blessings and learn lessons that help them get to heaven, as well.

Action Steps

Write something you are afraid of on a piece of paper. Can you do something about it? Write some action steps down, if you can and be disciplined by following through. If you don’t have control over the situation, pray about it and then give it to God.

In the New Testament the Bible, Jesus says to “Do not be afraid”. It’s one of the most repeated phrases. I guess he figured we’d need to be reminded. Write this down or put a reminder on your phone. Maybe we should paint this on a wall in our homes so it can be a constant reminder when facing our fears and overcoming them. Depending on God is a great way to live life to the fullest.

Do not be afraid. Trust in Him. Know that He works all things for our good. I need this reminder today and thought maybe someone else did too.

God bless. Thanks for following along. I appreciate you! –Barb
